  7. Rivermaids: a radio play

Our associate director, Ingrid Jones, has recently been working with UWE Bristol and Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury to create a play from people’s ‘water stories’ – their experiences of Tewskesbury Floods, the good and the bad.

This play – a drama piece about local water resilience and climate change, was been co-created with community members of Tewkesbury. It is a response to a research call encouraging new collaboration between Drama and Geography from the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Created by Hilarie Bowman, Helen Carver, Julie Field, Emily Hastings, Jan Millett, Katie Preedy and Carrie Sermon, in partnership with Sarah Berridge and Lindsey McEwen from UWE Bristol.

Written by Ingrid Jones from acta Community Theatre, Bristol,
Recorded by Laurence Nelson at Yellow Shark Recording Studios,
Hosted by the Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury.
Funded by the University of the West of England.
