Join us for the East Street Summer Arts Festival, a vibrant celebration of local Bedminster creativity.
This exciting series of events and activities takes place over the Summer months and offers a perfect opportunity for you to get a bit of creativity in your life whilst doing your East Street shopping.
Bedminster Poetry Live
Pop down to just outside of Miss Millie’s, 79 East Street, on Wednesdays 1-2pm from 5th July to 9th August to hear the wordsmiths of Bedminster Poetry Group lyrical stylings. Each week they will be joined by special guest poets – and there are even open mic slots! If you’d like a slot, please email bertel@acta-bristol.com to request one.
The Lesser-Spotted Bird of Bedminster
Follow Bedminster Youth Theatre on a promenade performance of ‘The Lesser-Spotted Bird of Bedminster’ as they walk you down East Street.
Every bit of Folklore begins somewhere – make sure you’re around for the first telling of ‘The Lesser-Spotted Bird of Bedminster’, an exciting family friendly adventure.
The performance will begin outside the Post Office, 157 East Street on Friday 28th July at 2pm, and Saturday 29th July at 11am and 2pm.
The East Street People’s Gallery
Last but by no means least, The East Street People’s Gallery will enliven British Heart Foundation 57 East Street, each Tuesday to Saturday between 1st – 12th August from 10.30am – 1.30pm. There’ll be drop-in visual art workshops for all ages, and you’ll be able to add your work to the growing collaborative community artwork.
On the final day, 12th August, there will be a closing celebration from 12.30pm – join us!
