  7. Our 40th Birthday Party

This year, we marked a milestone: forty years of nurturing creativity, building friendships, and standing alongside some of the most resilient and inspiring people in our community. Over the decades, we have become a safe and welcoming space for people of all ages and backgrounds, especially those facing isolation, disadvantage, or hardship. Whether through theatre, visual arts, writing, or simply gathering for a chat, we continue to work hard to help people find their voice, their confidence, and their community.

To celebrate our 40th birthday, in September we hosted a cosy, joyful gathering for the people who make acta what it is – our participants, volunteers, and our staff. The afternoon was filled with laughter, storytelling, creative activities, music, and an exhibition of costumes and props from past performances.
